Ms. Melodie (Ramona Scott, 1969 – 2012), was a rapper/emcee from Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York. She was associated with KRS-One's group Boogie Down Productions (BDP) and married to rapper KRS-One. Signed to Jive Records, Ms. Melodie released her only album, Diva in 1989 which was produced by KRS-One. She made an appearance in Queen Latifah and Monie Love’s “Ladies First” and the 1989 "Self Destruction" piece created by the Stop the Violence Movement. She was described as a rapper who could spit raw authentic lyrics and hold her own on a song with the men.
