Text EntriesDJ Quik (David Marvin Blake, b. 1970) is a rapper, songwriter, DJ and record producer from Compton, California. DJ Quick is known for his production of G-funk sound in West Coast Hip-Hop where he collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, 2Pac, Erick Sermon and Shaquille O'Neal. DJ Quick’s stage name reflects his ability to produce songs in a short period of time which helped get him his first label deal with Priority Records where he released his debut album, Quik Is the Name, in 1991.
