J.J. Fad is a female rap group from Rialto, California.  J.J. Fad gained popularity with the lineup that included MCJB (Juana Burns) Baby D’ (Dania Birks) and Sassy C’ (Michelle Franklin). J.J. Fad, whose name stands for Just Jammin Fresh and Def., emerged in 1985 and was one of the original acts signed to Ruthless Records by Eazy-E. The group’s most notable hit was 1988’s “Supersonic,” which was Grammy-nominated and made the female trio the first female group to be nominated and go platinum. The group named themselves the Ruthless Princesses due to the support of their mentor and Ruthless Records founder—Eazy-E.
