Text EntriesTechno Hop Records was an American record label founded in 1984 by The Unknown DJ/DJ Unknown (Andre Manuel, b. unknown) who was a DJ and party promoter in Los Angeles. The label and DJ Unknown's production assisted in popularizing the West Coast electro hip-hop scene. Techno-Hop Records was active in the mid-1980s and helped to define what has come to be known as West Coast Electro. West Coast Record Distributors is the first Black-owned, artist-owned, record distribution company ever created by Alonzo Williams (b. 1957). DJ Unknown eventually partnered with Alonzo Williams' Kru-Cut Records to form Techno Kut Records in 1988.
