"In from The Storm" Handwritten Lyrics by Jimi Hendrix
Jimi Hendrix wrote these lyrics for “In From the Storm,” which evolved out of a jam titled “Tune X – Just Came In.” It was first recorded on July 22, 1970, at Electric Lady Studios, with Hendrix on guitar and vocals, Billy Cox on bass, Mitch Mitchell on drums, Emmaretta Marks on backing vocals, and engineer Eddie Kramer behind the console. Hendrix first played the song live at the Rainbow Bridge concert on Maui, Hawaii on July 30, 1970, and it was included on the posthumous release The Cry of Love, (March 5, 1971).
