Funk Box (Vocal) / Funk Box (Instrumental) is a two-track vinyl released in 1982 by Sugar Hill Gang. Released under Sugar Hill Records, this vinyl was produced by Jigsaw Prod. and Sylvia Inc.

The Sugar Hill Gang was put together by Sugar Hill label owner, Sylvia Robinson, who was inspired by her son’s enthusiasm for Hip-Hop, which was growing increasingly popular in clubs and at street parties in the late 1970s. The Sugar Hill Gang members included Wonder Mike (Michael Wright, b. 1957), Big Bank Hank (Henry Jackson, 1956-2014), and Master Gee (Guy O’Brien, b. 1962). In 1979, the Sugarhill Gang released the first hit Rap single, “Rapper's Delight,” which went platinum within a month and reached No. 4 on the R&B Charts. The Sugar Hill Gang were a part of Hip-Hop’s most popular acts in the 1980s during their peak.

Sugar Hill is written in cursive red, blue, and yellow striped colored font. There is a blue skyline of a city in the middle of the cover over a light blue background.
