Scarface (Bradley Terrence Jordan, b. 1970) is a rapper, producer, and songwriter from Houston, Texas. Scarface began his career as a member of the 80s southern rap group The Geto Boys. With The Geto Boys, he released many influential solo albums that helped to define the sound of Southern rap and establish Houston as a major Hip-Hop. In 1991, Scarface released his first solo album, Mr. Scarface is Back, which was well received by fans and critics alike. Over the next several years, he released several more iconic solo albums, including The Diary in 1994 and The Last of a Dying Breed in 1998.
Tupac/2Pac (Tupac Amaru Shakur, 1971 - 1996), born in New York, and son to parents and relatives who were members of the Black Panther Party, Tupac’s political ideals on racial injustice highly influenced Tupac’s music and social consciousness. As a Harlem and Baltimore native, Tupac began his music career as a member of the Oakland Hip-Hop group Digital Underground before his solo career in 1991 with the release of his debut album, 2Pacalypse Now. Tupac emerged in the 1990s as a central figure in West Coast Hip-Hop scene, introducing social issues on Black life in American where Gangsta Rap was dominant in West Coast Hip-Hop. Tupac's consistent themes in his lyrics addressed contemporary social issues in inner cities, including violence, hardship, and racism. During his career Tupac has sold over 75,000,000 records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. His talent as a rapper, actor and social consciousness has influenced many and garnered him the respect as one of the best rappers in history.
Master P (Percy Robert Miller, b. 1967), is a rapper, actor, entrepreneur, investor, author, filmmaker, record producer, philanthropist, and former basketball player. He is the founder of the label No Limit Records. Miller gained fame in the late 1990s with the success of his group TRU and his fifth album Ice Cream Man, which contained the hit single "Mr. Ice Cream Man". In 1997, he grew in popularity after his single "Make 'Em Say Uhh!" went 2x platinum, and the release of his album Ghetto D. Miller also directed, produced, wrote, and starred in the semi-autobiographical street movie I'm Bout It. In 1998, Miller released his most successful album to date, MP da Last Don, which reached #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and has since sold over four million copies. In the early 1990s Miller became one of the first and most popular rap artists to emerge from New Orleans and went on to added success as a producer for other artists, and a record company entrepreneur.
