Scarface (Bradley Terrence Jordan, b. 1970) is a rapper, producer, and songwriter from Houston, Texas. Scarface began his career as a member of the 80s southern rap group The Geto Boys. With The Geto Boys, he released many influential solo albums that helped to define the sound of Southern rap and establish Houston as a major Hip-Hop. In 1991, Scarface released his first solo album, Mr. Scarface is Back, which was well received by fans and critics alike. Over the next several years, he released several more iconic solo albums, including The Diary in 1994 and The Last of a Dying Breed in 1998.
Ice Cube (O’Shea Jackson, Sr., b. 1969) is a rapper, actor and producer who was a membership in Gangsta Rap group N.W.A.. Ice Cube is known by Hip-Hop critics and fans as one of the greatest and most influential rappers of all time; to many others, he is best known as a television and movie star. Ice Cube launched a long and successful career as both a solo musician and an actor. His first solo album, AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted, was released in 1990. Though his filmography contains more than 30 films, including the critically praised Three Kings (1999), he is perhaps best known for his roles in Boyz N the Hood (1991), the Friday series (1995, 2000, 2002) and the Barbershop series.
Dr. Dre (Andre Romelle Young, b. 1965) is a West-Coast rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of Aftermath Entertainment, Beats Electronics, and previously co-founded, coowned, and was the president of West-Coast rap label Death Row Records in the 90s. Dr. Dre began his career as a member of the World Class Wreckin' Cru in 1985 and later became a member of the gangsta rap group N.W.A.
Too $hort (Todd Anthony Shaw, b. 1966) is a rapper and record producer from Oakland, California. He became famous in the West Coast Hip-Hop scene in the late 80s, with lyrics based on pimping, sex and street life. Too $hort was among the first West Coast Rap stars, recording three albums on his own before he made his major-label debut album in 1988 with the RIAA-certified gold Born to Mack which helped him get signed to Jive Record leading him to a successful and prominent Rap career into the 90s.
