Father MC (Timothy Brown, b. unknown) is a rapper from the Bronx, New York. He began his career as a Dancehall Reggae performer and interspersed his Reggae influence with sentimental love lyrics. Father MC helped launch the careers of Mary J Blige and Jodeci. His debut album, Father's Day (1990), featured the singles "Treat Them Like They Want to Be Treated" featuring Jodeci and "I'll Do 4 U" featuring Mary J. Blige, which both reached the #1 position on the US Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart.
