This single, produced by Celestial Records, features Bob Alexander (b. unknown) on vocals backed by the Floyd Standifer Orchestra. The side A song, “I Got the Message,” was written by Tom Ogilvy (1916-2000) and Ellen Ogilvy (1922-2010) who owned their own record company, Seafair Records. The writers of “Lady in the Moon,” on side B, are Myrlin Parker (b. unknown) and Tom Ogilvy.
Celestial Records was the in-house label of Dimensional Sounds Inc., a recording studio founded in 1952 in Seattle, Washington. The studio is best known for selling pre-recorded reel-to-reel tapes, but expanded to recording high-quality, Seattle-area Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, and Rockabilly on vinyl records.
