“You Gots To Chill” is a song by EPMD released in 1988 off their debut album Strictly Business (1988). The song sampled “More Bounce to the Ounce” by Zapp and “Jungle Boogie” by Kool & the Gang. Signed under Fresh Records this song was produced by EPMD. Known as a Hip-Hop classic, the song reached number 22 on the U.S. R&B Chart and listed as number 74 on VH1’s Greatest Hip-Hop Songs.

EPMD is an American Hip Hop duo from Brentwood, New York. The duo's name is a concatenation of the members' names "E" and "PMD" or an acronym for "Erick and Parrish Making Dollars", referring to its members: emcee E Double (Erick Sermon, b. 1968) and PMD (Parrish Smith, b. 1968).
