Text EntriesThis custom tailored, stage worn red jacket and pants ensemble was worn by Blues and R&B artist, Little Milton (James Milton Campbell Jr., 1934-2005).
Born in Inverness, Mississippi, Milton learned to play guitar from other local musicians. Early in his career he was introduced to Sun Studios by Ike Turner. The recordings produced at Sun Studios were not instant hits, but he went on to produce many of his own records. He eventually found success in the mid 1950s-1970s with Bobbins Records, a label he founded with Bob Lyons, and later Checker Records and Stax Records. He is best known for his number one single “We’re Gonna Make it,” and hits “That’s What Love Will Make You Do” and “Who's Cheating Who?”. He was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1988.
