Mad Lion (Dallion Priest, 1972-2015) is a Dancehall Reggae musician and rapper from London, England who was raised in Jamaica. Frequently collaborated with Hip-Hop artist KRS-One, his earliest success was in the mid-'80s when he sampled Shabba Ranks' hit single "Jam." Signed to Warner Bros, mixing Reggae and Hip-Hop in his music was unique and made Mad Lion one of the most influential Reggae artists of the 90s. In 1994 and 1995, Mad Lion won the Source Award for Reggae Hip-Hop Artist of the Year and Reggae Artist of the Year.
