The Fat Boys were an American Hip-Hop trio from Brooklyn, New York, that emerged in the early 80s. The group was known originally as the Disco 3 and was composed of Prince Markie Dee (Mark Morales, 1968-2021), "Kool Rock-Ski (Damon Wimbley, b. unknown), and Big Buff (Darren Robinson, 1967-1995). The trio is widely known for using beatbox in their songs. The group opened doors for beatboxers like Biz Markie and Doug E. Fresh. Known for their comedic, self-deprecating rhymes, the group released seven studio albums, four of which went Gold by RIAA. The first two albums of the group were produced by Kurtis Blow.

Heartbeat Brothers is a Hip-Hop group from New York signed to Elite Records. Members included Lord Kool-Gee and Greg-G. The group released singles such as “Growing Up” in 1985 and “Can We Do This” and “Bring In The Bassline” in 1989. produced by Lord Kool-Gee and Paul C.
