This typewritten sheet contains lyrics to three songs from Bob Dylan's (b. 1941) Blonde on Blonde album, Temporary Like Achilles,” fragments of Absolutely Sweet Marie,” and Most Likely You Go Your Way (and I'll Go Mine). Recording for Blonde on Blonde began in late 1965 at Columbia Studios in New York but resumed in Nashville in February and March of 1966. Some of Nashville’s finest musicians backed Dylan at the sessions, including Charlie McCoy and Joe South. Known for revising lyrics on the spot right in the studio, Dylan brought several of these typewritten lyric sheets to the Blonde on Blonde album sessions and frequently typed out lyrics to allow for his rapid, stream-of-consciousness style of writing. The handwritten revisions may have been done in the studio shortly before recording the songs.
Typed lyrics on legal sized paper with draft of “Temporary Like Achilles” and in the opposite direction, fragments of Absolutely Sweet Marie and Most Likely You Go Your Way (and I'll Go Mine) with changes handwritten in blue ink.
