Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) is the debut studio album by the Staten Island based Hip-Hop group Wu-Tang Clan. Released on November 9, 1993, by Loud Records the album was produced by the group's leader RZA. Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) is widely considered as one of the most significant albums of the 1990s, as well as one of the greatest Hip-Hop albums of all time. The album went certified triple platinum, ranked 27th on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Recording Registry for being culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.
Noted as the most revolutionary rap group of the '90s, Wu-Tang Clan is one of the largest Hip-Hop groups from Staten Island, New York City. With nine original members, the group includes RZA, GZA, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa and later Cappadonna becoming the 10th member. The Wu-Tang Clan is regarded as a highly influential group in Hip-Hop, helping to popularize and develop the East Coast Hip-Hop and hardcore Hip-Hop styles.
