This handmade flier advertises a night of live and recorded Jazz to raise money for the relocation of the Rosebud Movie Palace from its historic spot in Pioneer Square in Seattle, Washington. Featured performers include pianist Overton Berry (1936-2020) and clarinetist Ham Carson (b. unknown – 2016).

The Rosebud Movie Palace opened in 1974 and was known for showing both classic and little-known films, as well as newsreels, cartoons and shorts. The theater was purchased in 1977 by Dennis Nyback (1953-2022), noted film archivist and historian. The fundraiser advertised here appears to have been unsuccessful, as the Rosebud Movie Palace closed its doors in August of 1981 and never reopened.

White flyer printed with black ink. Features drawing of a rose.
