Text EntriesThe 1972 concert advertised on this poster, represents the first Northwest Rock ‘N’ Roll reunion concert, which set the stage for further reunion concerts including EMP’s (now MoPOP) Northwest Legends concert in 2000. Guitarist for the band Jr. Cadillac, Ned Neltner (b. 1942) developed the idea for the reunion concert and recruited KJR DJ Pat O’Day (1934-2020) to emcee the event and Rainier Brewery to help fund it. According to Neltner: “...a lot of the bands that had influenced all of us had disbanded. So I just thought it would be something worthwhile to do. Because even in ’72 it felt like an historic idea.” A suite of the original Northwest Rockers agreed to perform at the event including Dave Lewis (1938-1998), Ron Holden (1940-1997), the Frantics, the Kingsmen, the Sonics and the Wailers.
