In 1992 a Kid 'n Play Marvel Comics comic book was created and based on the Kid' n Play NBC cartoon show (1990-1991). The Kid' n Play comic book lasted nine issues.
Kid 'n Play is a Hip-Hop duo that includes Kid (Christopher Reid, b. 1964) and Play (Christopher Martin, b. 1962) from New York. Known for their Hip-Hop and New Jack Swing sound, Kid 'n Play’s lyrics and themes focused on positive lyrics and party-friendly tracks. Kid 'n Play recorded three albums between 1988 and 1991: 2 Hype (1988), Kid 'n Play's Funhouse (1990), and Face the Nation (1991). Hurby "Luv Bug" Azor, the producer for Salt-N-Pepa was also Kid 'n Play's manager and producer during the early portion of their career. Many of their performances highlighted their friendly dance-hype personalities, especially with their trademark dance the Kid 'n Play Kick Step. With their successful Rap career, they also had a morning cartoon show and the popular 90s movie franchise House Party.
