During the height of his career, Nelly released his dirty doll, which had the word "Lunatic" tattooed across his stomach and his former distinctive band-aid over his face. The action figure came with accessories such as a hat, sweatband and chains.

Nelly (Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., b. 1974), is a rapper, singer, and entrepreneur from St. Louis, Missouri. He rose to prominence in the early 2000s with his distinctive southern style and catchy, upbeat songs. He started music career with the southern Hip-Hop group St. Lunatics in 1993 and was signed to Universal Records in 1999. Nelly has hits such as, "Ride wit Me," “Country Grammar (Hot Shit)” and “Hot In Herre.”  Nelly's debut album Country Grammar was released in 2000 and was a commercial and critical success, topping the US Billboard 200 chart for five consecutive weeks, and the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart for six consecutive weeks. Nelly is also known for his entrepreneurial ventures, including his line of clothing and accessories. He also created a line of toys, including the Nelly Doll, which became a popular collectible item. Nelly has continued to release successful albums and is regarded as one of the most influential and popular rappers of the early 2000s.
