This single produced by Nolta Records is the only recorded work from the band Thomas and the Tomcats and features two of their original songs.

Thomas and the Tomcats was a relatively short-lived band formed in 1960 by James “Tomcat” Thomas (b. unknown), who had previously served as manager for another band, The Rocking Kings. A young Jimi Hendrix (1942-1970) played electric guitar for the band before leaving in 1961 to join the Army. Other band members included Percy Thomas (b. unknown), Richard Gayswood (b. unknown) and Bill Renick (b. unknown). Thomas and the Tomcats recorded their one and only single in 1961, after Hendrix’s departure, and disbanded shortly thereafter.
