Come Clean" was a single by Jeru the Damaja released in 1993 on Payday Records. The single was produced by Gang Starr member DJ Premier. The song was featured on his debut album The Sun Rises in the East which was released the following year.
Jeru the Damaja (Kendrick Jeru Davis, b. 1971) is a rapper and record producer from Brooklyn, New York. He began rhyming at local block parties which eventually lead him to a feature on Gang Starr’s “I’m the Man.” He was close to the duo as he went to high school with Guru and DJ Premier. He is known for his 1993 single "Come Clean" from his debut album, The Sun Rises in the East released in 1994 which was ranked as one of the 100 greatest hip-hop albums of all time by the editors of About.com and produced by DJ Premier.
