Tony Silver (David Anthony "Tony" Silver, 1935 – 2008) was a documentary filmmaker known for the PBS film Style Wars. He directed the 1983 documentary Style Wars, which was one of the earliest Hip-Hop films that captured the culture lives of subway graffiti artists in New York City during the early 1980s. The movie won the Grand Jury Prize at the United States Film and Video Festival.

Henry Chalfant (b. 1940) is an photographer and videographer most notable for his work on graffiti, breakdance, and Hip-Hop culture. In 1983, Chalfant co-produced the PBS documentary Style Wars, the seminal documentary about graffiti and Hip-Hop culture.
