Text EntriesKool DJ AJ (Aaron O’Bryant, 1958-2015) was a DJ and party promoter from New York. Kool DJ AJ’s career was successful as the lead of party promoting, filling South Bronx Hip-Hop parties with hundreds of attendees. He also was most known for being Kurtis Blow’s DJ and co-wrote Kurtis Blow’s biggest hit “If I Ruled the World” which was featured in the 1985 film Krush Groove. AJ also worked with Busy Bee and Love Bug Starski throughout the '80s and DJ'ing into the '90s, retiring from Hip-Hop in 2010.
