This single from Cookin’ Bag features two original songs. “This Is Me” on Side A was written by Lisa Oliphant (b. unknown) and band member Joe Clark (b. unknown); Clark also arranged by the piece. “The Song I Sing” on Side B was written by singer Eugene Branch (b. unknown) and arranged by Clark.

Cookin’ Bag was formed in the late 1960s as a Funk and Soul band. The band released only one single in 1972, however several of their songs have appeared on compilation records and CDs, including “This Is Me” on Wheedle’s Groove in 2004.
