Text EntriesThis 1977 tour jacket was formerly owned by Heart’s lead vocalist, Ann Wilson (b. 1950). Heart was formed in Seattle by Steve Fossen (b. 1949) and Roger Fisher (b. 1950) in 1967. Originally called The Army, the group would undergo several name and personnel changes with Ann Wilson joining the group in 1972. Their success led to a recording contract with the Canadian label Mushroom Records and in 1975 Dreamboat Annie was released. “Crazy on You” and “Magic Man” were hit singles in Canada and the United States and soon pushed the album to platinum status. Heart signed to CBS in 1977 and recorded the million-selling album Little Queen, which included the hit “Barracuda.” The band’s 1977 tour shortly followed the album release with a lineup of Ann Wilson, her sister and guitarist Nancy Wilson (b. 1954), guitarists Roger Fisher and Howard Leese (b. 1951), bassist Steve Fossen, and drummer Mike Derosier (b. 1951).
Red bomber style jacket with zipper up the front, red and white gathered ribbed waistband with matching, cuffs and neckline, the name “Ann” embroidered on the proper left side of the chest in white thread, “HEART” embroidered with white thread across the back above a white heart with wings.
