She first gained attention as a cast member on the VH1 reality show "Love & Hip Hop: New York" in 2015. Her debut single "Bodak Yellow" was released in 2017 and reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Her debut album Invasion of Privacy was released in 2018 and went certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Cardi B has sold over 20 million records in the US, making her one of the best-selling female artists of all time. She has won several awards, including a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album for Invasion of Privacy in 2019. Cardi B is also known for her philanthropy and advocacy work, particularly in the areas of politics, social justice, and women's rights.
