DescriptionThis Bozak CMA-10-2DL mixing control unit is a later version of the first commercially available stereophonic mixer that Louis Bozak designed in 1971. He was assisted by Alex Rosner, the sound engineer who created the first stereophonic disco system for the 1964-1965 World’s Fair, as well as the “Rosie” mixer used by pioneering disco DJ Francis Grasso. One of the Bozak’s innovations was the ability to “cue,” or line up, different music segments that the DJ previewed before including into the mix, which allowed DJs to fashion longer, more complex music sets. It became a Disco equipment standard for about fifteen years and is now considered a valuable collector’s item among sound system enthusiasts.
