A Prince Among Thieves is the second studio album by Hip-Hop artist Prince Paul that was released on February 23, 1999 on Tommy Boy and Warner Bros. Produced by Prince Paul, the album features cameos by Kool Keith, Big Daddy Kane, Chubb Rock, Biz Markie, De La Soul, Everlast, Sadat X, Xzibit, Kid Creole, Special Ed, Chris Rock, RZA and Buckshot.
Prince Paul (Paul Edward Huston, b. 1967) is a Hip-Hop record producer, DJ, and rapper from Amityville, New York. Paul started off as a DJ for the rap group Stetsasonic. Through his career, Paul has worked on albums for Boogie Down Productions, Gravediggaz, MC Lyte, Big Daddy Kane, and 3rd Bass. Prince Paul is also well known for his production of De La Soul's debut album 3 Feet High and Rising (1989), where he established new methods of Hip-Hop production, mixing and sampling by including comedy sketches between tracks.
