This baseball cap was formerly worn by Special K of The Treacherous 3 on the cover of their second studio album Old School Flava (1994).

Hip-Hop fashion took on many forms and styles of expression, while the music has always represented creativity, the fashion in Hip-Hop took on that same effort where artists, DJs, dancers and fans of the culture would dress uniquely to express their fashion taste, what people in their community were wearing locally to influence urban street wear or B-boy style. The street/B-Boy style included jeans, sneakers, tank tops, over-sized clothing, large gold jewelry, velour sweat suits, Cazals glasses and Kangol hats. The Hip-Hop styles of the 80s were so unique in New York, one could tell the difference of what neighborhoods and boroughs people were from based on their style of dress. 

One of the founding members of the Treacherous Three, Special K (Kevin Keaton, b. 1963), is an old-school rapper from the Bronx, New York, and the younger brother of T La Rock. Special K lyrical legacy is unique in his delivery that’s a combination of aggressive and smooth. In the late 1970s, he met Kool Moe Dee, DJ Easy Lee, L.A. Sunshine as well as DJ Easy Lee to form the influential old school Hip-Hop group. One of the very first rap acts put to wax, the Treacherous Three made their debut in 1978 on Enjoy Records and released several singles on the label, most notably "The Body Rock" (1980). The Treacherous Three became well known for their singles "Feel the Heartbeat" and "Whip It". They released their debut full-length album and were featured in the 1984 film the breakdance cult-movie Beat Street performing the song "Xmas Rap" with Doug E. Fresh.
